Freqeuently Asked Questions
Will the kids leave the gym during camp?
During the Fall Festival Camp and the Winter Camps, no. There are no field trips or outings planned for the Fall or Winter Camp. We stay in the gym the entire day except for weather permitting activities like side walk chalk art, basket ball, and other activities we typically do outside. That's why it's always best they bring weather appropriate clothing and tennis shoes.
During Summer Camp, kids are bused to Meadow park on Wednesdays after lunch with Ride-On buses. Parents will need to pick up their children at Meadow Park, unless the child is staying for after care. In that case, a parent will need to sign a permission slip for a CCG employee to drive that child back to the gym and be picked up at CCG in after care.
Can my 3.5-4 yr old do either a 1/2 day of camp or full day?
Yes. They may come to either 1/2 day or Full day camp at any of the CCG Super Camps. However, we recommend you start your preschooler with a 1/2 day first to make sure they are able to successfully complete this much time at camp. You can always upgrade to a longer day at any point.
Do you provide snack?
Yes. We will provide a healthy snack in the morning usually around 10am each day. Please let us know if your child has any food allergies.
Do you provide lunch?
No. Just like school, if your child is attending a full day of camp, they need to bring their own healthy lunch. If your child is just coming to our morning session, they will not need a lunch, but if you want them to eat a lunch at camp, just pack them one and let us know at check in.
Can siblings be together in a group?
Generally, we put children into groups based on age so they are able to be in a group with children of similar abilities and listening skills. You can check in with the CCG Camp Director when your drop your children off and sign them in to have your children together if necessary. In most cases, it will be the older child that will be grouped with the younger age group. We also do activities through out the day that incorporate all groups together, so there will be times through out the day when they are together.
What time can I drop off my child in the morning & pick up in the afternoon?
CCG's Super Camps have 1/2 day (9am-12pm) & full day (9am-3pm) options. Children may be dropped off between 8:55 -9:05 for morning camp check in and are typically signed out at either 12pm or 3pm. CCG provides Before & After Camp Care for any child who needs to be dropped off sooner or stay later, than normal camp times of 9am-3pm. Morning care is from 8-9am and afternoon care is 3-5pm. We can make special arrangements for those parents who need to be at work by 8am too. The cost for this service is only $6 per hour, per child.
We hope this helps answer some very common questions!
Thanks,
The CCG Camp Directors :)
